Is the IPAC play-book good for DMK and MK Stalin?

The recent events in Chennai, where sections of the Muslim community went on huge street protests, and some sections even attacked policemen, leading to action by cops, and the subsequent 'spontaneous' protests across the state, were well highlighted by the regional and even national broadcast media.

But, looking the ingenuity and the cooked up spontaneity in a slew of protests happening in all vantage locations across the state, it was fairly clear that this could be the handiwork of IPAC and Prashant Kishore, who have now taken upon the the task of ushering in M K Stalin, and his party, the DMK in the seat of power in Tamilnadu, come elections next year.

Will the PK magic work for the DMK?
The nature of protests, and the way they are stage managed to bring in maximum eye balls to the TV Channels, and also to disrupt normal life of people by occupying vantage arterial roads across many parts of the state.

Needless to say, there will be more protests, and may be if it goes by the script of PK, even violence by members of the Anti CAA gang. The unstated objective is to foment trouble in a state, that has by and large remained peaceful, and bereft of any big communal divide, but for voting patterns during polls.

This fact has been even pointed out by the Hon Chief Minister, on the floor of the state assembly, in a discussion on the states role in the CAA act and the consequences thereof.

But, this is the moot point, that someone in the DMK need to tell IPCA - the fact remains that the DMK have already/always by them self mastered the art of garnering  minority vote-banks, and get the needed result in polls.

It is rather surprising that they heeded the strategy of IPAC to foment trouble, and even shows the naivety on the part of the party leadership in paying for such marketing advise.

The incremental gains by this would rather be insignificant, and if at all, such violence would only, may be lead to the counter consolidation which may not be to the benefit of DMK, or its leader Stalin.

Latest information even suggests that PK has suggested to Stalin that there could be a gag on all the prominent second line leaders of the party, to make sure that there is consistency in imaging, and also no further alienation of the party from the majority Hindu community (maybe this is an afterthought, after the unsavory remarks of the party leader, R S Bharathi).

Should a marketing agency be allowed to hijack the complete agenda of a political party, even at its peril, is the question one is wanting to ask??
